Student Highlights
High quality education is dependent upon hard work
Congrats to our Spud Growers
Mr. McIntire's Class
The student teacher we have working in our classroom started teaching us fractions this week. He developed an interesting lesson about pizza and toppings to show how different fractions look. We are so excited to have Mr. Palmer working with us, and we cannot wait to see what other cool things he teaches us!
Third Grade Thanks Rotary!
Third Grade was visited by the Rotary Club of Coudersport on Tuesday. The Rotary Club made a very kind donation of dictionaries for every student. We enjoyed the lesson on how to use a dictionary and what makes it an important tool. We cannot wait to use our new dictionaries in class and library! Thank you Rotary Club for the donation and event.

Welcome Cole Palmer!
Mr. Palmer is joining us as a student teacher from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. He has been taking over teaching in my classroom this week, and he has been doing an awesome job. We look forward to all of the cool things he has planned for the next 5 weeks.

Instructional Success
Grade 3 Title Math
Students in third grade are playing Treasure Hunt. This version of the game involves skip counting to list the multiples of three.
Kindergarten Title Math
Students in Kindergarten are shown working on an activity called "grab a handful." They are using ten frames to help organize the manipulatives for accurate counting. After writing the numbers on their recording sheets, students make more/less comparison statements.
Third grade Spring Math
Teachers at the elementary school have the opportunity to "Tap Out" and observe other teachers and classrooms. Mrs. Jones had the pleasure of watching Ms. Wiltrout's class in action during Spring Math classwide intervention on fact fluency. The students did a wonderful job and were excited to show off their computation skills!
