From our Superintendent Dr. John Sparlin
It certainly feels like winter weather is upon us! As a reminder, if winter weather interrupts our ability to open schools or hold extracurricular activities, we will do our best to notify you as early as possible and in a number of ways. School closing information can always be found on our website, social media channels, and by visiting the Emergency Closing Center website. We will use our Blackboard messaging system to send alerts through email, text, and phone. Now is a good time to log in to Tyler SIS to view your account information and be sure phone numbers and email addresses are correct! Your school can assist you with any changes you may need to make. Please remember to send students dressed appropriately for the cold!
This week across the district, we celebrated our many educational support professionals during the 101st annual American Education Week. Join me in thanking all of our support personnel in our schools for their contributions which enable our students to learn in a positive, supportive environment. These special people are an incredibly valuable part of our school family!
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
Community CHAT: Building Structure & Routine at Home
CHATS are an opportunity to share stories, experiences, worries, fears, wisdom, and find community and strength together.
Join the next Community CHAT session scheduled for Monday, November 21st (6-7:30pm) virtually where the topic is: "Building Structure & Routine at Home." What does structure and routine mean to you? Do you have trouble following a routine? Have you witnessed meltdowns changing from one activity to another? Change and challenges are ever present. Resiliency is a very important asset to foster, practice and instill in children.
We hope you'll join the conversation in this welcoming, virtual environment of fellow parents, led by our Family and Community Outreach Coordinator.
