Highlights of the Week
What another very busy week at Twickenham School! It's been a week full of activities and learning that have not only enriched our students' academic experience but also their personal growth. Here are our top stories:
Anti-Bullying Week Success
This week, we centred our focus on Anti-Bullying Week, and I am delighted to report the success of our initiatives. We raised over £100 for the Anti-bullying alliance, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of our students and staff in Odd Socks Day and the subsequent bake sale. Well done to everyone. Let’s keep that spirit of kindness and acceptance running through the remainder of the year. Thanks to Mr Stiff for organising.
Engaging Parental Workshop
Our Paul Dix Parent Workshop, yesterday evening: “When the Parents Change, Everything Changes” was a resounding success. We welcomed over 40 parents, and the engaging discussions, along with the insightful questions raised, underscored the importance of parental involvement in our children's education. Thank you to all those who attended and to Ms Bromly and Mr Stiff for organising the event.
Theatre Trip: A Cultural Treat
The 'Woman in Black' theatre trip to Richmond Theatre was a remarkable experience for our students. Over 40 students attended, and the event provided them not just an evening of scary entertainment but also a valuable cultural experience. Thanks to Ms Greenleaf, Mr Chanter, Ms Thackery, Ms Hales and Ms Butt for making this happen for the students.
Sustainability Efforts: A Greener Tomorrow
Our sustainability team continues to work tirelessly. With over 80 saplings and plants from the Woodland Trust, our school grounds are gradually transforming into a more vibrant and eco-friendly environment. This initiative not only beautifies our school but also instills a sense of responsibility and care for the environment in our students.
