Next week will be Red Ribbon Week, which is dedicated to helping students identify positive friendships and to say no to peer pressure. Miss. Rutherford will be visiting each class to help teach these helpful skills!

Please keep them within school guidelines for length and coverage

Wear a hat with regular school uniform or a spirit shirt and jeans

The parade is pretty quick. Come a few minutes early so you don't miss anything!

Picture retake day is this Wednesday (November 1st). If your child missed picture day, they will be able to get their picture taken then. If you would like to have your child's picture retaken, please return your original picture packet on retake day. These pictures will be in the yearbook; students must be in uniform.

The coat drive is THIS WEEK (Monday October 30th - Friday November 3rd) we are looking for new or gently used coats, gloves and snow pants. We are in need of childrens sizes of 6 years old - adult smalls and 2XL and above for adults. Please drop off donations in the office.

We will be doing background checks at the school this Thursday (November 2nd) from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. If you need to get a background check to volunteer at the school or chaperone a field trip, stop by and get it taken care of then. Volunteer background checks cost $31.25. You can pay by going to the school store section of the website or following the link below.

The dates for archery are going to be Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7-8 am. We will start on Tuesday October 31st at 7 am. This is for everyone. Please make arrangements to be dropped off a little before 7 am so they can come in when the doors will be open. Email Coach Christensen at cchristensen@ascentutah.org if you have any questions.

eSports tournaments are starting up the regular season. Those students who are participating need to pay the $60 fee for the season. The season lasts most of the year. The fee pays for the passes you need to play in the given game so the sooner you pay, the better and sooner we can get your passes paid for.

At our school, all students K-6 have weekly music class. This year our second graders have been creating soundscapes based on different environments found in the book “Once Upon a Book”. A soundscape is defined as the sounds heard in a particular location, considered as a whole. The second graders have been identifying different sounds that can be found in each environment and deciding when in the day the sounds might be heard. All second grade students are expected to attend. Please join us with your friends and family at our second grade concert on November 9th at 6:30 PM to experience our soundscapes from “Once Upon a Book”.
