We are off and going this school year! Students have been learning their school expectations and at building their classroom community. Grades 1st-5th have completed their first round of iReady testing. iReady is an online tool used to measure our students progress in the areas of reading and math. Our amazingly talented staff have been busy setting up routines and procedures for their classroom communities as well as reviewing concepts from the year before. They are excited to dig into the data from the iReady test and move into rigorous content for the year!

Morning drop-off begins at 8:30, students need to stay in cars until 8:30 when a staff member opens the front doors to the school. Please all the way forward to the staff member so we can get as many students in the building safely and in a timely manner. We ask that all parents stay in their cars and we will help assist students as needed to exit their cars. The front doors will close at 9:00. If you drop off after 9:00, you have to sign your student(s) in at the front office. Breakfast is served from 8:30-8:55 to allow for staff members to being their mornings at 9:00. If your child intends to have breakfast, please have them here before 8:50.

Be on the lookout over the next few weeks on our social media explaining our new afternoon procedures that will go into place after Fall Break. We want to make sure that we are effectively and efficiently dismissing students to cars in the afternoon while still keeping student and staff safety as our top priority.

I will be doing food bags again this year. The bags go home on Friday afternoons and are meant to help supplement food for your child over the weekend. Please let me know if this is something that could benefit your family. The bags will start next month.

We are excited to open our breakfast to parent/guardians for the months of September and October! Due to the number of students that we have, we are not able to open up the cafeteria to parents/guardians during lunch time. But we have developed a plan that allows you the chance to have breakfast with your child. As we roll the plan out, we're going to do one grade level and one day a week at a time, we hope to open this up to more days a week as well. Our current schedule is:

Please complete the Google Form for the Grade Level that you are planning to attend so that our cafeteria staff can prepare the correct amount of food. Breakfast runs from 8:30-9:00, please make sure you have your ID ready when you sign into the office. For the safety of all of our students, walking students to their classroom after breakfast is not permitted. Adult breakfast which consists of 1-milk, 1- juice and/or 1-fresh fruit & a choice of 1 entree for $2.90. Ala carte prices Entree $1.50, Milk & Juice $.50, Fresh fruit $.75. Small bills are appreciated. Cash only please, we cannot accept cards.
