My Vision

Color wheel
The Color Wheel project was one I enjoyed most. I created a star because I wanted to stand out from the people in my class and also challenge myself to see what I can do and what I'm capable of. My overall vision for my work was to make a start looking flower or a galaxy type picture. I started making the outline of the star. Then i use the blue sheet of paper to trace the star onto the canvas. It was hard to do so because the sheet of paper wasn't big enough to do it all at once. After I got it on the canvas, I outlined the lines with a black sharpie and began painting in the colors. I started with my primary colors, then secondary, after I mixed both my primary and my secondary colors together. Color wheels to help try out the different mix of colors and it helps them make their art seem balanced and well put together to make it come to life.

I think the most important thing about making art is that it comes within you. Art is something based on what your perspective is. It makes you create something that impacted you in any way. Anything can be art, and depending on the person people see art as different ways to express the way they feel. Some examples of art can be music, dance, painting, sculptures, etc. Something I learned about myself during these projects is that I have high potential. I’m someone who likes pushing themselves so they can try something new. I enjoy trying my hardest and making something that no one really thinks about.
My Proudest Project
I’m really proud of my color wheel project. I was a really fun way to start off the quarter and getting to mess around with the colors was really fun as well. My biggest weakness was trying to transfer my image onto a canvas board. I was difficult trying to be still so you wouldn't move the board and mess up the image. I would like to try making the linoleum cut project. It seems really interesting to try and mess around with. I like an artist who tells their personal stories through their artwork like Frida did with all of her art. They really try to make you feel the way they feel and it's just so inspiring.
Being an Artist
What I learned about being an artist is that what you make shows what you see as art. Your artwork shows a different message than others. I learned a lot about my artwork. My art shows what I'm going through and as well as my emotions. I have a voice but is afraid to speak up. For me to tell others what's going on I use my artwork to express it.
Art I will Make Next
I would like to try and make the linoleum cut art. It seems like a very interesting art to try and the type of art that I make can be really cool to make. A linoleum cut a type of art where a design is cut into the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, to create a mirror image of the parts u drew.
