Join the Kendall County Juvenile Justice Council and Judge Susan Clancy Boles and Judge
Keith Johnson and hear important information on the increased problem of cyber bullying,
electronic harassment and sexting/pornography. This program is geared towards the parents
and addresses the social and legal consequences of this potentially criminal conduct with a
goal of increasing awareness of what is cyber bullying, harassment, and sexting and how it
may impact the lives of the students who participate in it. This must see presentation will
empower parents to better understand their children in our evolving world of technology.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn important information to protect your child. This
promises to be an eye opening event.

Cheerleading Tryout Information
Cheerleading tryouts will be happening October 20th and 21st. If your student is interested in trying out for the Cheerleading Team please complete this Sign Up Form
WHEN: Thursday-Clinic Day 10/20 & Friday-Final Tryout 10/21 from 3:15-4:10pm
(Plan to attend both days if trying out)
- Practices typically held daily after school until 4:10pm. A full schedule will be shared by coaches with those who make the team.
- Season runs from mid-October through late December. There is an overlap with Volleyball, so keep that in mind if trying out.
WHO: 7th & 8th Graders
WHERE: Practices will be held in the MS Cafeteria
WHAT TO BRING: School-appropriate athletic clothing, comfortable shoes & a water bottle.

Boy's Basketball Tryout Information
WHEN: Monday (10/17), Tuesday (10/18) & Wednesday (10/19) from 3:15-4:45PM
(YOU MUST ATTEND ALL DAYS OF BASKETBALL TRYOUTS)
- Season runs mid-October through mid-January, and for those who make the team, practices will begin Friday (10/21) from 3:15-4:45pm
- Please note that some practice times will be held later/earlier during the season to accommodate for other sports that share the gym during that time of the year.

Informational Reminders
How and Where do I check my students Grades?
Schoology is used as our active gradebook. To check your student's grades on a daily or weekly basis make sure you have an active Schoology account and have access to see your student's classes, assignments and grades. PowerSchool gradebook is updated for mid term and end of term grade reporting, but it is not the go to to check in on daily progress. If you do not have a Schoology account see the links below to set one up. When setting up your account if you need an access code please email your students Advisory teacher for the code or call the main office.
If your student is absent due to illness or other reasons:
To stay up to date with class work, students should check Schoology pages daily to access assignments, lessons, and activities during their absence. Contact teachers directly via email with any questions related to school work.
