Chisholm Update
September 15, 2023
Greeting Chisholm Families!
What a beautiful week of weather with cooler temperatures and some much needed rain. You can definitely tell fall is around the corner as the day begins to shorten, and hopefully, we will have a milder weather pattern for the next several weeks.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the first PTO meeting this past Monday. We have over 40 people in attendance. We will post the meeting minutes below in this newsletter.
I wanted to remind you that Fall Picture Day is going to take place on the 19th and 20th of September. Both of our camera locations will be on the stage. Here is the schedule for both dates and when the grade-level classes will be scheduled:
Tuesday, September 19th - Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-Grade
Wednesday, September 20st - 3rd, 4th, and 5th-Grade
Next Friday is the deadline to purchase your STTP insurance to protect against broken iPad or Chromebook devices. This insurance costs $25 and will cover broken student devices during the 2023-24 school year. Information on this process is listed below.
On Wednesday of this week, our school conducted the first tornado drill of the school year. I wanted to take a moment to brag on the students and staff for their efforts in getting into our shelter area. The students did a great job following the directions of the staff and all classes were in their shelter room in about 10 minutes from the start to the end. I was sure to commend everyone today during Charge Up on how impressed I was as we conducted this drill, and I wanted to share this with parents. They did such a great job!
