BASHAW SCHOOL WEEKLY UPDATE

We would like to let everyone know that the logo revamp survey will stay open until June 30th, 2023. We have moved the date in order to fully accommodate anyone who is having difficulty accessing the survey and in recognition of the need for more time for people to consider the questions.

We will postpone discussions about the revamp until next fall so that we are being mindful and respectful of all voices. We are committed to further conversation and encourage those who have questions to book a meeting with the school administration. We will use our School Council meeting time to focus on the amazing, and wonderful things taking place at Bashaw School and to really dive into feedback for the Behaviour Matrix discussed at the last meeting. We thank you for your patience and look forward to seeing a full representation of voices.

Tuesday, March 21: New Norway School - This meeting is the closest to our school.

Monday, April 3: Ecole Camrose Composite High School

Tuesday, April 4: Killam Public School

• Payments for all school fees are overdue. Please check your account and if you have an outstanding balance, please pay immediately. You can access your account by clicking the picture.

You can attend in person, and a link will be sent out closer to the date to attend online. As a parent, these meetings are a great way to hear directly from our administrators and School Council.

Also - did you know - if you ever have any questions or concerns, both of our administrators are more than happy to schedule a time to meet with you. Please, never hesitate to reach out and call the school to arrange a time with Krysta Rathwell (Principal) and Shawna Johnson (Assistant Principal).

Hello BRSD families!

Students from across the world want to join us in Battle River School Division. Are you able to help welcome them?

We are seeking caring families to host students in their home during the 2023-2024 school year. International Student placements can range from one month to the full school year in duration, so you can choose an option that works for your family.

Right now, we have students who will be joining us from Germany, Belgium, Spain and other European countries, as well as from Asia and South America. Hosting an International Student can change their life for the better and will give your family the chance to learn more about other cultures and countries as well. Lifelong connections and friendships can be made.

There is a $700 per month stipend provided to help offset costs.
