Happy Summer North Stars!

We are excited to start the 2023-24 school year in just a few weeks, and have some exciting updates to share with you as we approach the start of the school year.

Last year, Superintendent Dr. Paul Gordon inspired our school community to Be Here, Be You, Belong.

Research is clear that students who are present in school perform better and can fully access everything a comprehensive high school has to offer. Student presence in our classrooms allows them to fully access their education and support from our staff of educators who are eager to improve the outcomes for our students. Partnership with families is a critical component to creating positive student attendance patterns.

In an effort to collectively support our students more effectively, we will be having an early release schedule every week on Wednesday. During the early release time, our educators will be able to review evidence of student learning in a more timely manner to be more responsive to student needs. This change is in alignment with the newly-adopted District 303 Strategic Plan related to our Core Values (Belonging, Perseverance, Achievement), Strategic Priorities (Effective Collaboration, Instructional Coherence), Success Indicators (Attendance, Behavior, Content), and Theory of Action. We have adjusted our bell schedule to include additional time in every class period, with the school day now ending at 2:29 pm. Please visit our website with updated bell schedules.

The State of Illinois recognizes that your child’s health is very important to the educational process and has established requirements to preserve and protect the health of all students.

Please note the following mandated health requirement for 12th graders. Students who fail to submit the required health form will be excluded from school until this requirement is met.

Documentation showing that 1 dose of the Meningitis vaccine (MCV4) has been received on/after the age of 16 prior to entry into Grade 12.

There is another meningitis vaccine against Meningitis B. This vaccine is recommended but not required.

The SCN Booster Family Membership includes free admittance to all St. Charles North sporting events for two adults and all children under the high school age with the exception of post season play.

Booster Membership is honored at St. Charles East for SCN games at St. Charles East High School.

Important: Please note the money for Booster Memberships goes to the SCN Athletic Booster Club and the money is used to support all athletic teams at SCN. Ticket revenue if this pass is not purchased goes directly to D303.
