Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award:
We are thrilled to share some exciting news from our Gold Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) program. Two of our teams recently completed their qualifier expedition in the stunning North Wales region, specifically around Yr Wyddfa.
It was an expedition that truly put our students to the test, as they encountered a wide range of weather conditions. From torrential rain to hail and near gale force winds, they faced it all with incredible determination and resilience. Despite the added challenge of the weather, they exhibited exceptional teamwork and overcame adversities together.
We couldn't be prouder of what these teams have achieved. Each student has returned with a sense of accomplishment and a wealth of personal growth. Through this experience, they have learned so much about themselves and their own capabilities.
Their assessors were incredibly impressed and praised them highly for their remarkable achievements. This expedition will serve as a powerful example for our students, demonstrating how they can overcome challenges and exhibit resilience in the face of adversity.
We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students who undertook this Gold DofE expedition. Your determination, teamwork, and resilience have truly made us proud.
Wishing you continued success on your future endeavors!
Warhammer Club:
Year 7 student Fred has been attending Warhammer Alliance Club since the beginning of the year, and his attitude and perseverance has been outstanding. Every week, Fred turns up and immediately sets to work, crafting his figures and spending the whole session painting the most detailed models. His excitement and enthusiasm for everything Warhammer is infectious and he sets the best of examples to his peers every week. Miss Cunningham couldn't be more proud of the progress he is making well done Fred!
