The BIS Bulletin

Our 5th graders are becoming entrepreneurs! They are working on creating items to sell for an upcoming economics project and their creativity is inspiring!

We have an abundance of clothes in the lost and found here at BIS. Please check out the slideshow below to see if any of these items belong to your student. They can stop by anytime to grab their items or you can contact the office and specify which slide # and which item belongs to your student and we can try to get those items in the right hands!

Our Falcon Flyers are hosting a Bake Sale next week. Money raised will be used for service projects around the community.

• What: Bake sale items will range from $0.50 - $1
• When: Jan. 17th (Tuesday) & Jan. 18th (Wednesday) 7:30 am - 7:50 am each day
• Where: BIS Foyer

The Intermediate Student of the Month for representing the character trait of hard-working is 5th grader, Claira Lane! Congratulations, Claira!

Basketball Cheerfair is BACK and we are excited!

CHEERFAIR PARTICIPANTS:
Girls & Boys in grades PK-5 are invited to join the Blair Oaks High School cheerleaders to perform at half-time of the varsity basketball game on Friday, February 3rd, against Miller Career Academy. The game starts around 7:00 p.m. An announcement will be made for the girls to meet in the cafeteria prior to half-time. All participants are free to leave at the conclusion of the performance. A practice will be held on Thursday, February 2nd, from 3:15-4:30 p.m. in the Elementary Gym. Registration is $15.00 per student and includes the student's t-shirt.

ALL SHIRT ORDERS:
Please print the order confirmation that is e-mailed to you and return it to the elementary, intermediate, middle , or high school office with payment. Please be sure to mark "CheerFair - Attn: Coach Lackman" on the outside of the envelope. A separate form should be completed for each participant. One total payment may be made for all participants/orders. Checks should be made payable to "BHS Cheer".

SmartSocial covers a wide range of digital and social media topics we feel are relevant to our students. We have purchased parent memberships for every parent in our district to give you access to these resources and help you learn how to navigate the negative (and positive) parts of social media with your students.
