Tech Tip Tuesday
5/7/24

Not counting...
It is hard to believe that it is May. The school is all a buzz talking about Senior activities, final exams, and wrapping up the year.
This month's Tech Tip Tuesday and Tech Tuesday Sessions will focus on wrapping up your year with surveys, portfolios, and exams and setting yourself up for success for next year.
One thing that is important to do at the end of the year is to reflect on how lessons went and how to do things differently next year. It is impossible to plan every detail until you meet your new classes, but it is a great idea to have the basics ready to go for the first week of school. A syllabus, a tool list, lesson ideas, get to know you activities, beginning/end of year surveys, and beginning/end of the year assessments are all things that can be prepared ahead of time and revised in August if needed.
Feel free to stop by the Instructional Technology Office in the Library to chat and get some ideas on how to end the year with success and get organized for August!

End of Year Activities
Choice Boards
Here is a presentation on Choice Boards which make a nice end of year culminating activity. There are some examples in the last slide!
Student Surveys
This article has some basic information about why a student survey is a good idea at the end of the year. Read to the end to sign up to get a free survey that is already in Google Forms; once you make a copy, you can edit to match your classroom content.
Google Form
Here are Google's directions for how to create a Google Forms quiz or test. Using Forms is the fastest way to get things graded. If you use Brisk to create a quiz, Brisk will create the Google Form for you!
