ALL BULLDOG
Sept 25-30, 2023 Marysville Jr/Sr High School
Principal's Note
Monday is National Food Service Employee Day and we are so proud at MJSHS to honor our awesome food service staff. This group likes to have fun as you can see in the picture where I caught them all wearing their matching shirts last week! They also do a fantastic job of making all the food for our district every day. And they are tough...when our AC was out back in August they worked in extremely hot conditions to make sure that our students were fed each day. Tell them thanks for all they do when you go through the line. They love seeing your smiling faces each day!

Ramen Noodle Challenge
This week students were given a packet of ramen noodles and 30 minutes to create a recipe that would use the noodles in a creative way. Both Nutrition Classes did an excellent job of creating a different dish but two of the top recipes were the Tik Tok Ramen and the Ramen Churros. This was a lesson on how to create a dish on a budget also recognizing food insecurity sometimes is a factor in some families' daily lives. They were able to use any ingredients found in the kitchen! Kacy Roesch, Zoe Zutterman, Olivia Duever and Charlotte Naaf were the most creative and won for overall taste and presentation with their churros. Isaac Hight, Braden Dwerlkotte, and Jackson Schmelzle made an excellent and flavorful savory dish with the ramen.
Presentation on point!
