CUBS Award
Our Hootie award was revamped this year and now will be called the CUBS award! The CUBS award stands for Celebrating and Uplifting our Beloved Staff. Staff members nominate their fellow colleagues and recognize them for the outstanding work they do to make CCES a better place everyday! Mrs. Fogler awarded Mrs. Wesley the CUBS award. She states," The person I nominate represents our theme of building strong relationships with your students. She gets to know each of her students in order to create meaningful learning experiences to make it fun and create lasting memories. You can go to her at any time with questions about former students and she will remember in detail academic and social needs. She is also very generous if you ever mention needing a resource and will share anything she has that may support any student." Mrs. Trafton award Mrs. Sanborn with the CUBS award. She states, "Kendra is one of those teachers you come across once in a great while. She is revered by students, families, and colleagues. She is a dynamic member of our school system. Kendra is the true measure of what an educator should be. She has developed an excellent rapport with her students. She has connected and collaborated with her peers and administrators to enhance the school environment. Her ability to communicate with each student and talent for making early reading interventions attainable is truly superior, reflected in her students’ progress. Kendra has a calling in her life, and that calling is teaching. She teaches her students to strive for excellence, to love reading, and to respect each other, and she teaches all of us (her peers) to give our best for our students."
Spirit Fridays!
This year we're going to adopt "Spirit Fridays" here at CCES. We would like to invite our students and staff to wear red, white, or blue to school.
