Happy Monday!

A huge thank you to our amazing gala committee on a job well done. It was so much fun dancing, eating, and socializing with many of you Saturday night. We hope to see even more of you next year!

This will be an exciting week here at St. Mary of the Assumption School. It is the last week of classes for our 8th grade students. While we are sad to see them go, we are excited to see all of the amazing things they will accomplish in high school and pray they always remember the academic and spiritual foundation established here by elementary teachers and friends.

Tonight, our band will be performing at 6:30 p.m. in the gym. We hope to see many of you there!

Tuesday afternoon will be the NJHS induction ceremony for all the new members.

Thursday is Field Day for all SMA students. Coach M is still looking for Virtus certified volunteers! If you are interested, please contact pmonfiston@stmaryum.org. Please see below for more information.

Friday is our special Candle Mass, during which the 8th grade students "pass the torch" of leadership to the 7th grade students. This tradition dates back over 25 years at SMA and is a wonderful farewell to our student leaders.

Move-A-Thon This Thursday!!!

Move-A-Thon will be exciting on May 19th during Field Day with live music to get our students moving. We have some cool prizes, including an Oculus, Flat-Screen TV and gift-card.

The top class will have a Chic-Fil-A lunch, second place, Ledo Pizza Party and third place, Ice Cream treats.

Field Day Teams and Dress Information

Please see the attached list of field day teams. Students should arrive on Thursday wearing their PE shorts, sneakers/tennis shoes, and their own T-shirt in their team color. For example, if your child is on a red team, they can wear any shirt of their own that has red as the primary color. If you do not have any shirts of your team color, your PE shirt is also acceptable.

Students should only bring a water bottle and a lunch (if not purchasing hot lunch) to school on Thursday. No backpack is needed!

Move-A-Thon

Are you ready to MOVE! Let’s Go!

The HSA biggest fundraiser Move-A-Thon is Thursday May 19th in the school parking lot. Our

fundraising kicks-off today, May 2nd – May 20th . Move-A-Thon will be the warmup for Field Day with a live DJ playing our students favorite songs while they move to fundraise for special events next school year.

The HSA will lead the Move-A-Thon and very excited to provide some great prizes for the top

student and top class who fundraise the most money! Those prizes include an Oculus, Flat-Screen TV and Gift-card.

If each student raises, $125 we will reach our goal of $25,000!
You can join us at St. Mary of the Assumption on May 19, 2022 to cheer on your student!
If we reach our goal of $25,000 or more, then the HSA can contribute to special school projects during the 2023 school year!
Students can win some exciting prizes – Oculus, Flat Screen TV, Gift-card
Classroom prizes for top three grades – Chic-Fil-A, Pizza and Ice Cream parties
