Parent Teacher Interviews
Regarding Parent Teacher Interviews
Our approach to first term parent-teacher interviews is to repeat the same practice OLMP employed last year, to split the two evenings up and have one fairly early in the term. Our first term dates are September 29th and November 8th.
Parents are invited to treat the September 29th date like a Meet the Teacher opportunity, as Covid measures will not allow us to have a live, in-person Meet-the-Teacher event. But this is also a good time for some conversations, earlier rather than later, about any academic concerns you may have about your child.
Sessions this year will be virtual. Once you've booked an appointment, you can expect an invite to a Google Meet video conference.
We look forward to seeing you.

AHS SCREENING UPDATE *NEW
The Alberta Daily Screening tool has recently changed. A new question about household contacts has been added for both over 18 and under 18. This change will add clarity for how we handle student cases where there is a COVID positive case in the home. The new question reads as follows.
Has your child been a household contact of a case2 of COVID-19 in the last 14 days? A household contact: a person who lives in the same residence as the case OR who has been in frequent, long-duration, close-range interaction with a case of COVID-19. For example, siblings, someone who slept over, or someone who provided direct physical care to the child.
If the answer is “YES” AND they are NOT fully immunized
: Child should stay home and NOT attend school, childcare and/or other activities for 14 days from the last day of exposure and monitor for symptoms. If your child has symptoms, proceed to question 2.

Masks may be removed during warm up and while participating in the game.
Masks must also be worn by the coach and players on the bench.

OLMP 2021-2022 SCHOOL FEES
No Student Pick Up or Drop Off in Alleys
NO PICK-UP/DROP-OFF FROM STAFF PARKING LOT OR BUS LANE
Dear Parents,
Please make alternate plans for pick-up/drop-off location as our Staff parking lot is no longer available as an option. This area has become far too congested in the past and is an extreme OH&S concern. REMINDER:Please follow the flow of traffic in the Student parking lot on the South side of our building. Alternatively, please also look at streets/locations (other than alleys) that are close to our school where students can safely access our school site. While we understand that this takes away some convenience, we are more concerned about the safety of your children.
PLEASE GIVE OUR BUSES THE RIGHT OF WAY AT DROP-OFF AND DEPARTURE
****PLEASE STAY CLEAR FROM BUS LANES AT THE BEGINNING OF OUR DAY AND AT THE END OF OUR DAY*****
Thank you for you attention to this.

MASKING UPDATE
(UPDATE Sept 3/2021 2:45pm) We recently received a masking expectation update from Elk Island Catholic Schools. This update is in response to the recent Government of Alberta announcement:
Effective Tuesday, September 7th 2021, EICS will be requiring all students and staff to wear a mask in all common areas, hallways, foyers, lunchrooms, libraries, and in areas where social distancing is not possible. Masks may be removed in classrooms when students are seated. There will be circumstances in which individuals will be eligible for mask accommodations or exemptions. This would include:
persons who are unable to place, use or remove a non-medical face mask (i.e. developmental and or physical reasons)
a medical condition or disability (i.e. mental or physical) Anyone unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition will require a medical exemption letter from an authorized health professional.
