Dear Cub Families,
Starting this week, my goal is to send out the weekly parent newsletter on Thursday evenings or Fridays. Some parents asked if the newsletter could may be go out at the end of the week instead of the beginning of the week. I completely understand that. So, I am going to do my best to start sending them out on Thursdays or Fridays! That way you have the information about the upcoming week sooner!
One of the highlights of our last two weeks was JMU football players coming to read to our students! Out Cubs were SOOOO excited! Thank you to Ms. Marchand for making this happen!
We enjoyed seeing parents at school for parent-teacher conference day this week! Thank you for coming out this past Monday!
This year Rockingham County Public Schools (RCPS) implemented a new program for parent communication. The weekly parent emails sent to you weekly are from that program. This new program also is our new platform for school web pages. The new program links Facebook pages, web pages, etc. so parent information can be more connected. While it is still under construction :) the Cub Run web page does have great information for parents-especially those who do not have Facebook. Our new web page is linked to our parent google calendar and lists all upcoming events, it lists announcements and news updates, and it includes posts and pictures of some things happening at school. Cub Connections Parent Meetings
Our first Cub Connections-Information Parent Meeting was last Thursday, November 2nd at 6:00 pm. The topics for this meeting were 1) Attendance Policies and Guidelines at Cub Run-We will share how student attendance is now part of a school's accreditation and 2) Paw Patrol-Our Parent Volunteer Program.
Our next Cub Connections-Parent Information Meeting will be December 7th at 7:00 p.m. Some parents messaged that they could not attend last Thursday, but they were interested in the information. So, at our December meeting, we will revisit the topics of November and add some information about our safe school plan, too. We will send reminders about the December meeting as we get closer to it. It will be online again.

CRES Six Day Specials Rotation
As you are aware, CRES is on a six day rotation for our specials classes. Each week we will share the upcoming days of the rotation with parents. Here are the rotations for the next two weeks:

- Wednesday-Friday, November 23-25 No School! Thanksgiving Break!
Your child's teacher will share with you the specific 6 day specials rotation for their class (which day is art, music, PE, library, and technology).
