I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. This past week Summer Rising kicked off! Our students are having a ball at PS91, PS113 and PS 81!

There is a shuttle bus for all three schools in the morning. Each bus schedule is below. Please accompany your child to the bus in the morning, and please be present when the bus arrives.

PS 88Q IS CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER, AND THERE IS NO STAFF AT THE SCHOOL TO SUPERVISE THE STUDENTS. IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENT WHEN THE BUS ARRIVES @ 3:00pm, STUDENTS WILL RETURN BACK TO THEIR SUMMER RISING SITE.

The shuttle bus for 91 is offered to all students from PS 88q who are attending PS 91. It is more than the capacity for the bus. Permission slips were sent and returned last week. Bus space is limited.

PS 88Q- PS 91Q: Bus #2418 Departs @ 7:25am. Arrives @ PS88Q@ 3:00pm

Breakfast and lunch will continue beyond the instructional school year. Our Summer Meals Program is available throughout New York City to anyone ages 18 years old and under. Designated public schools, community pool centers, parks, and food trucks will be open for service. No registration, documentation, or ID is necessary to receive a free breakfast or lunch meal.

An updated calendar has been released with all important dates for the upcoming school year. As a reminder, the first day of school is September 7th. Please make sure your email is current on Operoo, as communication will be through email and the NYCSA regarding first day information. Link for calendar is below.

Summer time is a wonderful time to take that well needed break. Our staff is taking that break too! During the summer months, our teachers, paras, school aides and secretaries are off. I am indeed working though! I spend my time split between the summer school sites, and PS 88Q. The best way to contact the school is through me, loshaughnessy@schools.nyc.gov.
