Happy December!

Can you believe we are 3 months into the 2023-2024 school year? December is here and with it comes a Buffalo winter! In addition to entering this snowy time of year, it also means we are also into our second trimester. We want to thank each family who will be able to connect with teachers during our parent teacher conferences this week, Thursday and Friday. What a great time to talk about growth, setting goals, and sharing about the wonderful things that your children do each day here at Fricano!

As we enter the holiday season, we want to let you know how grateful we are that you share your children with us each day! The list is endless, but we are thankful for: families who help their children get to school each day, our PTA and volunteers for helping support our building, Starpoint staff who are committed to supporting our students each day, community members, board of education members, and so many more! We wouldn't be the same Fricano without all of you.

As a reminder, please make sure your child(ren) are dressed for the weather, especially as we see some cold winter temperatures and snow!

If you come in to volunteer, please have your ID out and ready to be checked before entering the building.

Fun Event Coming: February 7th Day of Play at Fricano!

At conferences, you will receive information on how to sign up for our parent portal. As a reminder, you need to be signed up to access your child's report cards going forward. Starting in Trimester 2, report cards will no longer be printed and send home. If you don't receive the instructions with your child's information at conferences, please look in your child's folder! We need help in our cafeteria!

Make sure to check out the PTA's sign up for our Helping Hands program. This is a great opportunity to get involved and join in your child's school day through our lunch room. The purpose of Helping Hands is to help ALL Fricano students by assisting in the cafeteria by opening various items, wiping down tables, and getting utensils. You are required to be a member of the PTA to volunteer. PTA SIGN UP HERE.

During winter break we will be donating items that haven't been claimed. Please have your child pick up any item that is theirs in our front vestibule before our winter break!
