Triton Elementary School Update -November 3, 2021

Principal's Update

Due to our Covid numbers reaching over 5% of our student body we will utilize "distance learning" days Thursday and Friday of this week. Next Monday (Nov. 8) is a planned district work day without students. We will are planning on in person classes resuming on Tuesday, November 9th.

If there was a positive case within your student's class at any point this school year you would have received communication from your child's teacher or the health office. We send this information out with each and every case that arises within the school.

We do have rapid tests available for students here at school. If your student is displaying symptoms please reach out and we can get you a test. By keeping students home that are not feeling well will be our biggest defense against school spread. We do not test students here, but parents/guardians can pick one up to take home. Please continue to communicate positive cases with us.

Below you will find information in regards to an updated Safe Learning Plan and instructional items for Thursday and Friday of this week I am in the building today, and all staff will return for tomorrow and Friday. If you have questions please do not hesitate to reach out. Teachers will make contacts over the next two days as well.

Distance Learning

Distance Learning will look different for the various grade levels. You can read below on your student's grade level to see what the next two days will look like. Wednesday is a no instruction day for our students. These items are for THURSDAY and FRIDAY. Please note that Kindergarten, first, second, and third grade are links that can be clicked on.

The Weather Is Getting Colder...

As the weather gets colder please dress your students appropriately. We will be outside in the mornings unless the weather is very cold. We will also continue to go outside for recess whenever possible. Hats, mittens/gloves, boots (when the snow comes), snow pants all make the recess time enjoyable when cold. If in need of any of these items please let us know! We have items available.
