Thank you, Meadow Hall Staff!!! As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to share just how very thankful we are for your hard work and dedication to our students. We are so very thankful to be working with this amazing staff. We hope you are able to relax and rejuvenate during the holiday break. Enjoy time with friends and family!
We have a few staff members to welcome to Meadow Hall! Mackenzie Pieraldi is our new 5 hour TPT para in Autism. She will also be helping K and 1 during recess time. Lynn Han is our new speech therapist on Thursdays and then she will be starting an additional 1/2 day in the coming weeks. And welcome back from paternity leave, Mr. Fowler!
Our next Staff breakfast will be held on Wednesday, November 30th! Thank you to the following staff members for hosting:)
Jessica Souza, Melissa Bryant, Rachel Hellman, Kate Werner, Jenniffer Garcia, Trisha Hummer, LaToya Wellington, Ron Kohler and Lorin Umbel
Thank you, PTA, for donating pies for our staff pie raffle!!
MCPS Tutoring
As you make your recommendations please remember to consider the following:
- The student does not receive tier 3 interventions
- The student is struggling in math, reading, or SEL (social-emotional growth)
- The student is not meeting standard, to date, at the District, Classroom, or County level (At least one)
- The student would be a good fit for online tutoring 1-3 times a week
Please see the link below to access the spreadsheet, click on the grade level tab and enter the student information. It should take no more than a few minutes to complete. Thank you!

Class Dojo
Class Dojo Connection:
Administration wants to encourage teachers to continue to get connected with families through class Dojo. We have a few more classes to obtain 100% connection. If you are having significant challenges connecting with a family, let the administration know.
Class Dojo Weekly Updates:
This is a reminder to teachers that they should be making contact with families at least once a week via class dojo through the class story. Please make sure all teachers are communicating weekly with families. If teachers need guidance on what to communicate, check in with the administration.

Committees
Please take a look at the committees all MCEA staff signed up for on this document. There is no specific date/time that committees need to meet. Rather, the committee simply needs to complete their event(s) and meet as often as required to make that happen. Please email Desmond and Ilana the requested dates for your committee's event(s) by December 16th. We would like to have things on the calendar and make sure we don't create conflicts with each other or the PTA's events. For events after the school day, we need to reserve through ICB so other organizations don't rent our school at that time. Please appoint one or two people to "lead" the committee, so admin knows who to communicate with regarding the details.
