SPRING STUDENT-INVOLVED CONFERENCES: TUESDAY, MARCH 17TH AND WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18TH
Spring Parent-Teacher Conference (Student-Involved Conferences) time has arrived. We look forward to visiting with all of our McNair families and students. We have so much to share with all of you and we want to make sure we address any questions or concerns that you might have at this point in the year. McNair is holding conferences on Tuesday, March 17th and Wednesday, March 18th from 3:00-6:00 pm. If your family is unable to attend during these two days, please let your student's homeroom teacher know the best date/time you can meet.
McNair’s goal is to meet with 100% of our families. We look forward to sharing your child’s progress. During the student-involved conferences, families will have the opportunity to meet with homeroom teachers(face-to-face or in other modes of communication) and then interact with your student as he/she shares their digital portfolio of current goals, artifacts from each course, and a reflection of their learning/progress. Conferences are a necessary and important component of the family-school partnership toward your child’s educational success. Pods will be communicating with families either digitally or in writing for families to indicate their preferred conference time/mode of communication.
Thank you,
Lisa Davis

Game On - McNair Attendance March Madness
March Madness is one of the biggest, most exciting and most fun events in all of sports. Why is it madness? That term captures the excitement that swirls around the sports world as tournament time approaches. In the weeks leading up to the "Big Dance," as it is called, hundreds of college basketball teams from all over the United States fight to earn a spot in the tournament. As we lead up to the “Big Dance," we're pumping up the excitement with a final attendance challenge push. Who will make it to the Sweet Sixteen? Who will be our Elite Eight? The Final Four? Do we have any Cinderella teams who may not have won any attendance challenges yet but are about to rise to the occasion?
Here’s how it works?
We are hosting an Attendance March Madness tournament where homerooms will compete against each other to have the highest daily on-time attendance average for the week. The homeroom with the highest daily on-time attendance will advance to next week’s competition. Homerooms have been randomly selected to compete against each other. Week one starts March 2nd - March 6th.
Never fear it’s not a one and done competition. We have our NIT bracket (our 2nd Chance Bracket) The week of March 30th, we are going to go back through all our teams that were eliminated and average their daily on-time attendance. The four homerooms with the highest daily on-time attendance average for March will get to play in the NIT bracket. Everyday matters in March (all year really :)
Winners for both tournament brackets will receive a celebration. Celebration to be announced this week.
