Dear Cedars Families,

I hope this message finds you well. We have made a successful third transition to on-campus remote learning last week. We have 57 students attending on-campus remote learning. We plan to continue on-campus remote learning through December 18th. Our next Return to School Family Survey for the 3rd Quarter (January 11 - March 12) will be sent on December 1st. The deadline to respond to the survey will be Thursday, December 10th at 7:00 pm.

With so much unknown and the COVID-19 cases rising, it is important to continue to follow all COVID safety rules and tips, keep your children home if they have any COVID symptoms and follow social distancing guidelines. Last year the Texas Charter School Association (TCSA) visited charter schools across the state in hopes of capturing the extraordinary work of educators and students. Cedars International Academy was selected by TCSA as one of the AMAZING schools! A photographer came out last year and took pictures at both campuses. Our middle school students were selected to be featured on the front cover of the TCSA magazine!

The Middle-of-the-Year (MOY) assessments will be administered online for students in grades 3-8 in Reading, Math, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. We expect students to do their very best on the Middle of the Year assessments. Many educational decisions are based on the results. The test results will help us make focused instructional decisions with regard to your child’s needs. You will receive a letter from your child’s teacher on or about December 17 letting you know how your child scored on these assessments. CLICK HERE OR BELOW to access the parent letter.
