Create Application Shortcuts

This is only available for Chrome on Windows and Linux.


Do you have a website or a Chrome App that you visit regularly? You can create a shortcut for your desktop, start menu, and taskbar.

Create shortcuts for installed Chrome apps:

Step 1

Open your installed Apps page

Right-click on the app icon and select Create shortcuts...

Step 3

Choose where you would like to have the shortcuts appear.

Click Create.

Create shortcuts for websites and apps not installed from the Chrome Web Store.

In Chrome, navigate to the website or app.

Click on the “hot dogs”

Select More Tools

Select Create Application Shortcuts…


Choose where you would like to have the shortcuts appear.

Click Create

When you double-click a shortcut icon, the app opens in a window that does not display tabs, buttons, the address bar, or menus. To access common page options, click the page logo in the top left corner of the window.

Crop it if you need to.
