A Message from Dr. Haderer

SMMS Families:

I want to make you aware that late last evening I was alerted to a social media post. I immediately made contact with the School Resource Officer, Deputy Hooper, to assess and thoroughly investigate. The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority, and all threats will be considered serious and investigated full with appropriate consequences taken.

Your student may report seeing law enforcement in and around our school today. Out of an abundance of caution, I have asked officers to maintain a presence inside our building periodically throughout the day.

Please continue having conversations with your student about speaking up when they see or hear conversations of concern, as well as the responsibilities associated with using social media. My thanks for your continued support.
