Dear LP Families,
Happy Friday!
Martin Luther King Jr. once said: “Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others? '” I find myself constantly in awe of our students and the care they wish to show our school family. Just this last week, I had two 5th grade students, Ella and Alezandra, come to me with an idea to start a book club. They wanted to share their love and gift of reading with other students and so we are in the process of making that happen. I thought that was pretty great and then two 4th graders, Kaelyn and Ben showed up at my door. They were inspired by Levi, our 3rd grader who hosted a teacher party right before the holidays. They wanted to share some love and appreciation for our bus drivers so together we came up with a plan to surprise them on Valentine's Day with some donuts, coffee, and notes of appreciation. Our staff has graciously donated money towards this effort. I attached the flyer they created below as I'm just so proud of them all.
It is with great joy that I say LP is working hard to answer Dr. King's urgent question. In honor of his spirit and holiday Monday, 1/15 there will be no school. We will see everyone back on Tuesday!
Enjoy the long weekend,
Dr. Bello
*PS: Please note that the flyer below is meant to celebrate two students who came up with an idea to celebrate our bus drivers. We did collect money from LP staff but we are NOT asking family members to contribute. Please do not Venmo any contributions as I cannot accept those. Thank you for understanding!

Bravo!
Our 3rd and 4th grade students did an amazing job performing for our school community. It is never easy to get up in front of that many people to perform and yet, they persevered and did a beautiful job. A special thank you to Mr. Trumpowsky for all his hard work in preparing our students! We are really looking forward to seeing our 5th graders perform next week!
SAVE THE DATE for Online Safety Night!
