- ...interpret a multiplication problem as a comparison (i.e. 35 is 5 times as many as 7 and 7 times as many as 5).
- ...multiply and divide to solve word problems using multiplicative comparisons.

- ...identify common prefixes, suffixes, and roots and their meanings.
- ...use context such as definitions, examples, and restatements found in text to determine the meaning of a word.
- ...use a glossary, dictionary, or thesaurus to determine the meaning of a word.

Event Information
National Geographic Exhibit
National Geographic's 50 Greatest Photographs of all time. This is exhibit is moving and awe-inspiring. The cost is $9.00 per student and $11.00 per adult. Please bring exact amount for payment. The exhibit is not recommended for younger students or siblings. The entrance to the exhibit is near the hotel registration. RSVP via the Community Board.

Drop an Elective

Writing Workshop
Our next writing workshop will be covering Composition 4: Unit 3 - Writing a Book Review. You may skip this unit in your composition course until we get to it in January.
