A Day of Making
Building Our Community
Teachers, students, and families working together.
On Saturday, April 25th, students and teachers from SLA Beeber got together to continue working on the new Maker Space during the pancake breakfast. From 8am - 4pm, the building team achieved a number of significant accomplishments, which included mounting additional wall cabinets, building picnic tables for the cafeteria, and establishing a new organization scheme for the tools. Teachers and students learned new skills and became certified on the table saw, chop saw, and laser cutters. As families came up from the pancake breakfast to tour the room, one family (Epifanio Rios') jumped in and spent the day helping.
