National Nutrition Month

National Nutrition Month promotes healthy eating habits and choices that help develop life-long health and wellness. Our CCSD nutrition staff works hard daily to ensure our students have healthy meal choices and are nourished and ready to learn. Thank you to our schools' Nutrition Staff Members, Wellness Teams, MUSC, Clemson Extension, and Hope Health, who help educate our students about healthy choices.

Welcome to Quarter 4

Parents, please do not forget to signup for Parent Portal! It is important for keeping up with grades and attendance, but most importantly, it is critical for school registration for the upcoming school year. All of our registration will be online, and you will need your Parent Portal information to register your student(s).

Please be reminded that the spending deadline for FY 2022-2023 is April 15, 2023. Plan ahead for any activities that will take place between April 15 - June 30 (this includes all summer school expenses). Therefore, all purchase orders should be in the system on or before the deadline date. This will ensure that invoices can be received and paid by 6/30/23.

Thank you to all our staff members who helped make the Clarendon Evolves event a success. This event brought our Clarendon County communities together for a time of learning and fun.

MES students and staff enjoyed a Chick-fil-A lunch sponsored by local attorney Shaun Kent of Kent Law Firm, LLC. Which school will be next?

We want our students to think about College and Career Readiness!

This week our students across the district met with reps from Central Carolina, The Continuum in Lake City, and FE DuBose Career Center to discuss CTE pathways and dual enrollment programs.

Classroom learning is sometimes for our parents. We are so grateful for our partnership with Save the Children. This partnership has allowed us to run a successful afterschool program as well as educate and provide resources for parents in our community.

It's planting season at MECC. Students worked to help plant and water their crops. Way to go!
