WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL 2021 vs. BACK-TO-SCHOOL 2020, 2019, 2018, 2010, etc.

This year's opening will require more than decorating classrooms, making copies, updating lesson plans, purchasing classroom supplies, etc.

Our dive back into face-to-face instruction, (the state of affairs that we proudly accepted as our norm pre-March 13, 2020), will give us opportunities to re-think and re-set our long-standing procedures, beliefs, learning activities, styles, classroom arrangements, etc.

What upgrades can we incorporate to meet our students' and families' post-remote learning needs, while continuing to bring our best every day?

This edition of S.T.R.E.T.C.H. Notes is comprised of two recent real-life videos that will enlighten us with a realistic look at what we're facing straight from the mouths of those we serve. The objective is to encourage us to consider the residual pandemic/remote learning-induced trauma and social emotional challenges that will likely inundate our classrooms. Sit back, grab a snack and ENJOY!

PARENTING THROUGH THE PANDEMIC and beyond...

During February 2020, STRETCH conducted a panel discussion with parents from across the country. Panelists openly shared the challenges that their families faced and how they addressed them.

As we prepare to develop, maintain and nurture our partnerships with parents, take a few minutes to hear parent viewpoints.
