Excellence Everywhere
Our choir students truly embodied the meaning of excellence and represented Champe extremely well at the district event! Although seven students were unable to compete due to illness, 19 students were still able to compete in Districts and gave their all!
Over 400 students across the district competed in this event. We had 19 students compete and 12 students placed. Ten students will be moving on to the next round, which is the District Chorus event in February. These 10 students will also have the opportunity to compete in the States competition. Congratulations to:
Sree Bethanabhotla, Jaashvi Chandagari, Lizzie Decembre, Maya Habtamu, Danny Hilliard, Grace McBride, Ashleigh Niemeyer, Alisa Pena, Allison Tran (received a perfect sight-reading score from both judges), Sydney Valentine (received a perfect sight-reading score from one judge); alternates are Ian Skolarus and Elisabeth Boissiere

Is your Harris Teeter Card Linked to Champe?
When you shop Harris Teeter brands, a percentage of your purchase is donated to the school that your VIC card is linked to. There are NO LIMITS to how much a school can earn. Link your VIC card every year to support Champe! How? Go to https://tie.harristeeter.com/together-in-education. Once you sign in, search for “John Champe High School” and click Add. You can add up to 5 schools/organizations to support, so remember to also connect to your elementary and middle schools. Re-linking needs to be done every year.
