what will we do

There are different themes, laying out thin, laying out thick, transparency, patternmaking of different kinds of wool and working with a template to make 3D objects, calculate shrinkages etc

Who is Ricarda Assmann

Ricarda Assmann, born and living in Germann, is working with felt since nine years. She has developped her very own handwriting in felt.

Ricarda says: 'Working with felt is for me like expressing the language of my hands and my thoughts through fabric. To make visible and to make tangible the impressions, elementary human emotions and waves of thoughts gives me a deep sense of inner satisfaction. What specifically draws my interest here are the multiple dimensions, the wilful structures and surfaces and the inner nature urging its way out. In particular the broken up, seemingly torn pieces, or those that put up a resistance, parts falling outside of the framework, looking for their own means of expression, are the ones that I find most gratifying.

All workshops are being teached in Dutch and/or English. We will serve fresh coffee and homemade lunches, with healthy salades, warm dishes, farmers bread and several Dutch cheeses.
