Reading Groups

Students are placed in leveled reading groups so students can learn at their own level. We have seen students excel in reading by doing this over the last few years!

1st Graders

Mrs. Walter uses centers in frequently in her classroom in order to work with small groups of students to give students more individualized attention.

Elementary Leadership Team

The elementary leadership team is comprised of 5th and 6th grades students who works hard on sharing our school wide expectations with students. They also do monthly classroom activities to practice their leadership skills and be good role models to students.

Preschool

Our preschool program helps students to gain readiness skills both socially and academically to prepare them for kindergarten and future years. It is never too early to get your kiddos on the list for preschool at MPS!

Field Trips

Each grade attends at least two field trips/year. Students look forward to attending these field trips and parents/guardians are always invited to join!

Classroom Activities

Families are invited to two classroom activities/year. Students love to share their work with their family members at home and see them come into school to support them and staff love to get to know caregivers!

We are beyond excited to welcome our students back for the 23-24 school year!

Our staff are excited to be partners in learning again with families this school year. We will again be communicating through Rooms. Please make sure to download the Minnewaukan School app to keep up to date on what is happening in your child's classroom.
