Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

Science:
Miss Coulson would like to say well done to her Year 8 Scientists for their hard work over the last two weeks.
Maths:
Mrs Ferns and Mr Jackson would like to nominate their Year 8 students for fantastic effort and progress on the topic of Factorising quadratics this week.
Mr Horne would like to say well done to Year 12 students Halle, Oliver, Lee and Jack for excellent commitment to the study of circles.
MFL:
Mrs Cook has nominated the following Year 11 students:
Arnas Valeska for great work in class, Wojcieck for great work and Kaspar C for a positive change in behaviour.
Mrs Sahota has nominated Year 8 student Nana for her continued determination and resilience. She always tries her best with each task she has been given. Super effort!
Also nominated is Year 8 student Lucy D who in class has shown a good ability to write in the target language (Spanish). She has been confidently applying what she has been learning and her confidence in speaking out in class has improved greatly.
Humanities:
Mrs Vaghadia has nominated the following students for their excellent contribution to the Year 10 RSCS lesson this week:

English:
Mrs Brown has nominated the following Year 11 students for great progress and excellent essay building:
Grace Mc, Summer, Ana, Carmen, Ellie B, Sam C and Sonny T.
Also nominated are Year 10 students Alicja S, Beth S and Brandon W for great progress in 'An Inspector Calls' this week, Year 9 students Riley, Timotheos, Olivia, Danils, Jassau and Julia for excellent play reading in our Macbeth study and Alex B for great theories about Macbeth's motivations, Year 8 students Natalia and Sophie for beautiful book presentation.
PE:
Mr Rogers would like to nominate Year 9 students Dexter, Julia and Olivia for their teamwork and innovation in their Handball lessons.

Virtual Apprenticeships Sessions for Parents
On 19th November at 6:30pm, Eventbrite will host a session specifically aimed at parents to give them all the information they need to fully understand the apprenticeship pathway. And, thanks to the ASK Project, the sessions are free to attend. Both sessions will be delivered by expert speakers, and because this is delivered on behalf of the National Apprenticeship Service, the sessions will be impartial and unbiased. Reminders:
- Can we remind all parents/carers school is closed to students on Friday 13th November for a Brooke Weston Trust staff training day. School will reopen Monday 16th November.
