Waikīkī School Parent Bulletin - December 5, 2023
Aloha Families,
We hope you are as excited as we are for our upcoming 2023 “Peace Around The World” Winter Fete on Thursday, December 21, 2023.
Please take note of the following:
1. Invitations/Tickets for families went home on Monday, December 4, 2023 with your child:
- If you have multiple children, the invitation went home with one of them. Please double check backpacks.
- If you did not receive an invitation, please contact the front office at 808-971-6900.
- Families will need to show their invitation/ticket at the door for check-in purposes. One invitation/ticket per family was issued. When you line up the day of the show, please line up together, so we can get your group in all at once.
- If you misplace your invitation/ticket, you will need to give your child’s first and last name at the door, so we can confirm your show time.
- Please help us move our performance along and keep your invitations/tickets in a safe place and bring it to the show, so we can get families in quickly.
- Anyone showing up at an unassigned show time, will be asked to wait on the side as we will be giving priority to those designated for the specific show time. IF there is space available, anyone showing up to an unassigned showtime will be allowed to stand in the back of the cafe, space permitting.
- Due to this being an indoor performance inside of our cafeteria, we are in need of having multiple shows. This is for the safety of all and to help with our anticipated crowd size.
- Each family was assigned a designated show performance based on anticipated numbers by grade level.
- Your designated show time is located on the back of the invitation/ticket.
- While we are aware that the show time your family was given might not meet your schedule, we hope that with over two weeks of notice, you will be able to make it work.
- We anticipate that all shows will be full and we do not encourage families to try and attend a different show.
- Each grade will be performing a number together. We ask families to sit back and relax and enjoy the whole show. Our students have been practicing long and hard with their performances and want to share with all.
- We anticipate performances to run 30-45 mins. (estimated).
- Please reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher regarding whole performance photo taking. Teachers/Grade Levels will each have their own plan for this.
- After your show time is complete, we kindly ask that families exit the cafeteria in a safe, timely manner, so we can reset for the next show.
- If you have younger children coming with you to the show, strollers, wagons, carts etc. MUST remain outside during the show due to safety and space.
There is NO PARKING on campus for this event.
Please plan ahead and park in the nearby neighborhoods, side streets, or parking across the street at the park.
- If you have anyone in your party needing assistance with seating, please use this LINK to request assistance. This only needs to be completed IF someone has assisted seating needs.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email Vice Principal Mahoney at whitney@waikikischool.org
Sincerely,
Mr. Kusuda
