Free and Reduced Meal Applications are available - Apply now!
For the past two years, students have received free meals at school through funding from a USDA COVID-19 relief program. At this time, the program has not been extended and schools across the country will be once again determining free and reduced price eligibility based upon income guidelines established by the federal government.
Courtesy of the federal Community Eligible Provision (CEP) program, breakfast and lunch will be free for ALL Creslane K-5 students this school year. While Creswell Middle School and Creswell High School did not meet the criteria required by the grant formula to offer free meals for all students, families can still complete a free and reduced price meal application to determine whether students qualify.
To view the 2022-2023 income guidelines and application forms, visit our Free and Reduced Price Meals page. There, you can download a printable free and reduced price meal application form or apply online. Printed applications are also available in the district and school offices. Students approved for free or reduced price meals may receive one complete breakfast and one lunch per school day at the free or reduced cost. Please note that if a K-5 or qualifying student selects only milk and not a complete free/reduced price meal, the student’s meal account will be charged 50 cents for the a la carte milk purchase.
Because of the many benefits offered, we encourage all families to complete a free and reduced price application. This application is essential as it applies to so much more than meals.
For students that qualify based on family income, it can result in:
- Discounts for school fees and/or activities
- Provide discounted fees for standardized tests (e.g. AP, SAT) and college applications
- Offer additional funding for state and federal programs at the student’s school
