Recently we received an inquiry for the “Superintendent on the Move” as a means to inform taxpayers how much money it costs the corporation to implement. I am pleased to share with you the success of this initiative, which has proven to be an effective low-cost tool of highlighting the diverse array of academic programs, initiatives, extracurricular activities, and arts within our Corporation. It was never intended to highlight me as the superintendent.

"Superintendent on the Move" leverages the convenience of modern technology, as I utilize my own cell phone to capture video updates while navigating numerous events I attend throughout East Noble. These videos offer glimpses into the innovative projects, achievements, and talents of our students and staff.

Following the recording process, the footage is swiftly forwarded to our dedicated and talented Communications Coordinator, Brock Miller, for a brief editing process. This ensures that the content is polished and ready for dissemination across various platforms, including social media, our website, and newsletters. No additional cost is involved in the editing, software, or personnel.

Thank you to all who have been willing to participate as it affords us the opportunity to share your part of our story. I recognize not everyone is comfortable being on camera, and you are much appreciated for your efforts. Your contribution certainly gives our community a glimpse into the every day life of our students and staff.

I am immensely grateful for the enthusiastic response and support we have received for this initiative. Together, we will continue to harness the potential of "Superintendent on the Move" to spotlight the excellence that defines East Noble.

This past Friday, the entire East Noble School Corporation staff spent the day at EN Middle School to participated in a Professional Development Day. Pursuing professional development opportunities are important and beneficial for everyone throughout the Corporation. The demands within the educational environment are constantly evolving, therefore PD days, affords our staff to stay current with the latest policy, laws, and educational trends. Before breakout sessions began, the keynote speaker gave staff insightful knowledge on how to not only be a better leader for the students, but also how to be a better person. Throughout the day, there were "Ed Camp" breakout sessions available for all employee groups. This annual PD day is vital to expanding our staff's knowledge and skills. It was certainly a great day for our staff to come together as a team.

This past Thursday evening, Rome City Elementary had their Family Winter STEM Night. Students and their families enjoyed some fun winter activities that revolved around the STEM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Some activities consisted of building snowball catapults, frozen castles, tall snowman, and much more. It was a great night for the students to enjoy fun activities with their parents and staff members!

This past Thursday, East Noble High School FACS students made a delicious meal spread for an upcoming event that took place Friday evening. They were asked to prepare a meal for the "Hall of Fame" night, and the spread consisted of homemade cake pops, lasagna, a large salad, tortellini soup, finger foods, and cupcakes. Students did a fantastic job as they quickly worked together to prepare the meal for the event!

This past Thursday evening, East Noble Middle School hosted the finals for the Robotics League Night. Teams from North Side Elementary, Rome City Elementary, South Side Elementary, Wayne Center Elementary School, and East Noble Middle School battled it out, in front of a large crowd. Congratulations to all the teams that made it to the finals. It was a great competition from start to finish. Congratulations to all the teams on a great league night season! You all put on a amazing show and displayed great teamwork, perseverance, and skillful robotic strategies throughout the season. Congratulations to the EN Middle School and North Side Elementary who will be competing in the State competition at Lucas Oil Stadium in March!

Cupcake Wars were back at East Noble High School Wednesday and Thursday! The theme was "Spring Break". Students in Nutrition and Wellness formed teams and prepared some sweet, and creative cupcakes inspired by certain aspects of a Spring Break. It was a great time for the students to speak publicly describing their cupcake and convince the voters that theirs was the best. The voters, being fellow student members, had the hard decision to judge the cupcakes based on taste, presentation, and more. The students participating did a fantastic job showing their creativity from start to finish!

We are excited to announce that Luke Amstutz will be the new Athletic Director at East Noble High School! While we are happy for him to be taking this new role, the Friday night lights will miss him as head football coach. Thank you, Luke, for twelve amazing seasons, multiple sectional titles, and guiding the Knights to a State title appearance in 2019. Below is a special message that Luke personally wrote.

Congratulations to East Noble High School Show Choir, Band Solo and Ensemble, and also the Archery Club who competed at State over the weekend! They were celebrated and recognized this past Tuesday at the High School in a state walkaround with fellow students and staff members lining the hallways. We are proud of everyone who competed in state, go Knights!

She's on the move! Superintendent Dr. Gremaux next stop in the series landed her at East Noble Middle School where she attended the Professional Development Day, and checked in on what some the East Noble School Corporation staff members were up to!

"Glenna is such an inspiration to what a awesome food service staff employee really is! She is one of the kindest people that I know. She makes every single student feel acknowledged and special when they come through the serving line every day. She is so funny and finds ways to make a student laugh if they are having a bad day. She will also make a staff member laugh if they are having a bad day. You can tell that she loves her job, and she is excellent at all aspects of her it. East Noble Food Service has a great asset having Glenna as an employee. She is one awesome human being. Thank you, Glenna, for all you do. You are greatly appreciated."

I have five children, four have graduated from East Noble, leaving one to go. Class of 2025. What a lot of people don't know is, I used to be a race car driver. I raced at a small racetrack in Michigan where I won a few races. I even won a track championship in my division. Besides racing I have also milked dairy cows and delivered baby calves and lambs. I currently enjoy spending time with my only grandson and doing grandma things.

Doug Jansen is a big contributor to what makes East Noble School Corporation so great! We would like to thank him for his dedication and commitment to our students, staff and community!

Thursday April 11th from 5:30pm - 6:30pm all the elementary schools will be ready to help transition your child from home to school for the upcoming school year. If you are unsure which school your child will attend, please contact the closest school office and our staff can assist you in finding the appropriate school.
