Halloween Letter 2019

Culturally responsive Halloween costumes

FARE's Teal Pumpkin Project is a worldwide movement to create a safer, happier Halloween for all kids. The Teal Pumpkin Project raises awareness of food allergies through the addition of non-food trinkets and toys to your treats, making Halloween safer and more inclusive for all trick or treaters. You can participate by following these four easy steps:

1. Provide non-food treats for trick-or-treaters
2. Place a teal pumpkin in front of your home to indicate to passersby that you have non-food treats available
3. Add your home to the Teal Pumpkin Project map
4. Spread the word! Share the Teal Pumpkin Project with your friends and family

Check out our display in the lobby and grab a sign for your front door. Visit tealpumpkinproject.org for more information and additional downloadable resources.

Super STEAM Saturday! Please join the Oak Park Education Foundation for a free fun morning of crafting, collaborating, and creating. Build a robot, design a skyscraper, unleash your inner artist and learn more about OPEF with great activities for kids ages 5-12. Join us Saturday, November 9th from 10am-12pm at Longfellow School. You can learn more about the event on OPEF's website or Facebook page.
