Back to School Supplies
With the increase of our headphone use to complete various assignments in class. we request that families send a pair of headphones in for their child(ren) to use throughout the school year, if possible. Please know that if you are unable to send one, MES will be glad to provide one.
Transportation
Complete the Student Transportation Form for Dismissal Plans ASAP.
Questions regarding the bus can be directed to our transportation Department at transportation@mpsd.org
Bus Tags will be distributed to all students that are registered for the bus. We will send more information, including the bus routes soon!
PickUp Patrol App will be used for changes to your students plans during the year. New families will receive an email with login information.

Wednesday & Thursday (8/30 & 8/31)- “Just say Hello”
Wear name tags during the school day & say “hello” by addressing others by name.
Wednesday (9/6)- “Welcome Back Wednesday”
Greet students at the door with members of our community: Police, Fire, & Administration
Thursday (9/7) - “Attitude of Gratitude”
Create an attitude of gratitude in your school community - your classroom, your cluster or your building

ASPEN PARENT PORTAL
For those who are new to Martinson Elementary School, the Marshfield Public School District uses Aspen, a web-based Student Information System which provides a variety of tools for students, parents, and staff. New Families should have received their login information via an email from our Aspen team. Please check your email for your credentials. All families can contact aspen@mpsd.org if you have any questions about the parent portal.

VISITORS AND VOLUNTEERS
Every three years our parent/guardian CORI forms need to be updated in order to volunteer at school events. This year marks the beginning of a three year term, so every parent/guardian that would like to volunteer needs to complete a new form this year.
Please click here for the form and submit by bringing this to the front office with your license. You do have the option to have the form notarized and sent in with a copy of your license if you cannot come to school.
MEDICATION DROP OFF DATES!
MONDAY, August 28 from 5:00- 6:00 PM During Meet and Greet
If your child has an EpiPen, inhaler, daily pills, or any other prescription medication they may need during school hours please drop off on Monday August 28 between 5:00 and 6:00 PM to the nurse leader, Colleen Gadles.
Please bring the following:
Medication in original container with the parmacy label attached

DOCTOR"S ORDER: Please either call your pediatrician's office and ask them to "fax an order for _______" to the school nurse at 781-834-5003. You may also obtain an order in person from your pediatrician's office and hand deliver it to the school nurse.

Ventress Memorial Library

Young Writers Program is a 10 week program for aspiring writers in grades 4-6. Children will work with published author Erin Petti to learn about and create their own books. Registration is mandatory and fills up fast! Registration opens September 6th at 9 AM. Registrations are through the Ventress Memorial Library's website calendar ONLY. We are unable to accept phone calls or emails for registration.
- This is a 10 week commitment including 1 off week at the end and 1 final family and friends showcase in November
- Young Writers Program runs on Wednesdays from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm, beginning on September 13th
- There is no Young Writers Program on November 8th
- There is a friends and family showcase on November 15th
- If your child was in the spring 2023 program, they are not eligible for this session
- One caregiver per child is required to participate in a fifteen minute information session at the start of the first week
