Happy Spring! We are finally putting all that winter weather behind us and looking forward to our Spring activities. We started off with our annual Art Show. This year we focused on different cultures and each class made a piece of art that was from a particular culture. It was so fun watching the kids create their masterpieces and equally as fun watching them walk around and look at all of the different art work. We will be celebrating Earth Day with our annual ladybug release. We will be releasing approximately 1500 ladybugs into our playground. Ladybug Day will be held on April 22nd at 10:00. Parents are welcome to join us.

We are looking forward to a fun and exciting month! If there are any questions or concerns, my door is always open.

3rd - Picture Day

8th to the 12th - Week of the Young Child

17th - Egg Hunt (rain or shine)

22nd - Ladybug Day

Picture Day is April 3rd. Please drop your children off as usual and we will take them down for their picture at the appropriate time. If you have specific picture day instructions be sure to return the picture day sheet that was sent home. If you need a new sheet we have them at the front desk.

School Age Camp registrations are in and it looks like another great year! Be on the lookout for e-mail from Miss Meagan regarding confirmation of schedules and signing off waivers for various trips. If you have any changes to your summer schedules please let us know as soon as possible as some weeks are at capacity. We will be sending the finalized camp calendars out again in a few weeks.

Preschool - Preschoolers have a year round program but we do special summer camp activities to enhance their summer. We will be sending out Preschool information this month.

If your child will be entering Kindergarten in the fall, they will be in Jr. Camp. If there are any questions regarding where your child will be this summer please see Miss Karen or Miss Meagan.

*Toys - Please do not bring toys from home in to school.

*Shoes - Be sure that your child is wearing closed toed, well fitting shoes to school. Crocs, clogs, flip flops etc. are a safety concern, especially on the playground.

* Water Bottles - Children are permitted to bring water bottles to school if they would like to have water while on the playground. Water Bottles may only contain Water and need to be taken home each night to be washed. We will refill throughout the day as needed.

*Sunscreen - sunscreen should be applied at home before school. We can reapply in the afternoon if you provide us with the sunscreen and sign the appropriate form in your child's room.

* Jackets - Please be sure to have a jacket for your children everyday. We will often go out early in the morning before 9 and it can still be quite chilly at that time. We will be sure to remove jackets if it gets very warm outside.
