The Mustang Messenger
September 8th, 2023
Greetings Mustang Families!
It was another hot and busy week! Today marks the halfway mark of first quarter. Please ask your students about grades and make sure all assignments are turned in and missed assignments are made up. It is important that grades are a reflection of a student's ability and what they have learned in class. When they are missing grades, this is not always the case.
Have a great weekend!
Stay cool and be safe,
Catherine Nicholas, Ed.D.
Progress Reports
Progress Reports will be posted on Infinite Campus (IC) on Monday, September 11th. Progress Reports mark the halfway mark in the quarter and provide an indication of the academic progress a student is making in a course. If you are concerned about your students academic progress, please contact their teacher or counselor.
Low grades are sometimes caused by missing work. Rancho Pico offers after school tutoring to help students who need additional support.
Wear Red, White and Blue on Monday in honor of Patriot's Day
Patriot Day is an annual observance on September 11 to remember those who were injured or died during the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001. Many Americans refer to Patriot Day as 9/11 or September 11.
September is Attendance Awareness Month. Students who attend school regularly are able to learn more, have fewer discipline problems, develop better study habits, and often are more successful than students who do not. Students who are sick, need to stay home. Students who are out on quarantine, due to COVID, can access their education through Google Classroom. Please email rpattendance@hartdistrict.org or call our attendance office at extension 1103 if your student is sick and needs to miss school.
Please note the reasons for excused and unexcused absences.
