Hello, Parents and Students

The ball is rolling, and the Spring Trip is underway. In the link below, please make sure to complete the information and let us know whether or not you will attend. It is vitally important that we get a yes or no from everyone to get an account of how many rooms we will need. Also, remember the other flyers below concerning the Parent Trip meeting and fundraisers. We are doing the best we can to make sure everyone who desires to attend the Spring Trip will be able to go. If you do not plan on going or you plan to pay for your whole trip, participating in the fundraisers will help someone who may presently have a financial hardship. The trip is currently $370. We are requesting a $70 deposit on Friday, November 17, 2023, to reserve your rooms.

As we prepare for our upcoming events, please utilize the Tutor Phone List at the lower portion of the email to sign up for a tutor. We grow and become better when the teacher plants the seed, the tutor adds the water, and the student will benefit from becoming a top-tier musician. Top-tier musicians receive the best scholarships for school—a small investment now to save a ton of money later.

Band Fair Share Fees and Uniform Fees are very important. If you have yet to pay them, the deadline has passed. Please get them in as soon as possible.

Fair Share for Band 2 and 3 is $50 per student

Fair Share for Band 1 is $35 per student

If a student in band 2 or 3 needs to purchase the all black concert attire add an extra $50 to your Fair Share. The Band Booster will order the uniforms to ensure we all match.

Money for Fair Share is divided into 2 payments.

August 15th - $50 for Bands 2 and 3 / $35 for Band 1

September 15th - $50 for the concert uniform for Bands 2 and 3

These instruments do not maintain their integrity well. Also, some pitches are not tunable.

If your child is in Band 2 or 3, they must play the instrument they played last year. If students want to change their instrument, they must be registered in the Band 1 class for beginners. Bands 2 and 3 are classes for students with at least one year of experience playing their instrument. Band 2 or 3 students may only change instruments if the band director approves it.

Hello everyone; my name is Stanley A. Torain II. I am a native of Huntsville, Al. I attended Alabama A&M University, where I attained my bachelor's and master's degree in music education. Currently, I am seeking a doctoral degree in Theology.

I have been married to my lovely wife, Kitrise Torain, for twenty years. Together we have twin boys, Allen and Aiden. I have reached my fifteenth year of educating music appreciators, music enthusiasts and entertainers of tomorrow. I am excited to continue my journey with your children.
