Back in October, we kicked off our 8th grade Scoggins Strong Girls and Seahawk Strong Guys program. Our next Scoggins Strong event will be on Wednesday December 18th. On this day, we will gather in the cafeteria and gym during our regular C3 Team Time and 7th period for team-building activities, reviewing the norms and expectations that you created at the last event, and to discuss healthy communication and social media use. Next semester, we will meet again in February, and April to discuss important topics like stress management and getting ready for high school. Please remember to wear your Strong Girls and Guys t-shirts on Wednesday to represent this event and to show your Seahawk pride! We look forward to this event, and let’s continue to make your 8th grade year the best year yet, Seahawks!

It’s hard to believe but we are already starting to plan for the transition to high school! In order to communicate all of the high school information to the parents and students in a one-stop-shop, we have created a course in Canvas called “Transition to High School.” All presentations and documents that are presented to the students will be uploaded into the course, and we are going to be uploading information ahead of time and in pieces as part of the process. Log in to the Canvas course to see the documents and presentations we have presented and uploaded so far. If you need assistance or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your student’s counselor.

Attention 6th grade Parents! Mark your calendars for the next Coffee with the Counselors, March 20, as they go over our AIM for Success program.

Students are expected to have their Student ID with them everyday. This ID allows them to participate in incentive programs at Scoggins and also gets them into FISD sporting events for free or discounted rates.

Lost IDs can be replaced for $5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays during Target Time in the front office.

• Food will not be accepted from outside vendors (Ex: Door Dash, Uber Eats, Grub Hub, Restaurant or Pizza Deliveries, etc.)
