Principal's Message
I hope this message finds you and your family in good health and high spirits. As we embark on a new academic quarter, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your continued support and partnership in your child's education.
As we move forward, I want to emphasize the importance of open communication between parents, teachers, and the school administration. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is crucial for your child's success. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions you may have. Congratulations to all of our ACAP Pro students. These students worked extremely hard last year to reach this level of achievement and they deserve to be celebrated. These beautiful photos were taken by Coach Haynes our P.E. coach and building photographer. The photos have been framed and are displayed in front of the Spencer - Westlawn Elementary School library.

Employee Spotlight 2023
Tutoring: three (3) days per week
Hello Parents,
This is to notify you that tutoring is ONLY 3 days a week going forward. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the ONLY days that tutoring will be offered. If you have any questions, please contact the front office at (251) 221-1705.
Special Note: On October 19, 2023, tutoring will be dismissed at 4:15. Book Fair, STEM Night, and Report Card pickup will occur on this date from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The Alabama State Department has developed "I Can" Booklets for grade levels K-3. This is a guide to help Alabama families understand the critical reading knowledge expected to be mastered at the end of grades K-3 by all Alabama students. Click on your child's grade level to unlock the resources.

How to log on to MyOn from home
Directions for students WITHOUT school issued laptops:
Step 1: Go to www.mcpss.com
Step 2: Click on Students and Families
Step 3: Click on Clever Sign In
Step 4: Type in your child's username and password
Special Note: The username is your child's school email address and the password is their initial's and birthdate (Ex. Tb02122012). Please contact your child's teacher if you need assistance.
Step 5: Click on the MyOn app and begin reading based on your AR Level

- Check your child's grades in Schoology regularly.
