Good Morning OES families!
I'd like to thank our PTCA for organizing two wonderful events this past week! The Pizza and Pumpkin Party and the Trunk or Treat event on Saturday. It was nice to see so many students and families at these events.
I am enjoying visiting all the classrooms. Students have been sharing their learning and examples of their work with me. I was able to read to the second graders, and watch them work on posters that will be hung throughout the school. We have some very creative students!
Our soccer team had their final game on Thursday. The 8th graders received special treatment for their last soccer game as O.E.S. Owls.
There will be an 8th Grade Parent Meeting on Thursday, November 2nd in the library at 5:30 pm. We will be discussing fundraisers, trips, yearbook, and other items specific to 8th graders. I will send a separate email to 8th grade parents with additional information.
Students should come to school properly dressed for the outside weather. All students have recess each day, and at times they go outside for PE class. Many students are not prepared for recess. (If you need assistance with this please contact the school.) We are accepting donations of outgrown winter clothing and boots (in good condition) at this time.
I'd also like to thank you for your continued support as we work toward improving behaviors throughout our school.
