Dress Code Reminders
SCHOOL DRESS CODE REMINDERS
Here are some general reminders and guidelines related to the school dress code. Please review them so you know and understand what is and is not considered appropriate to wear to school. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation with this!
- All clothing should be clean, odorless, and neat.
- Modesty in dress is expected. Tops are expected to appropriately cover the individual’s bust and torso. Halter tops, off-the-shoulder tops, crop tops, tube tops, muscle shirts, tank tops, or other similar tops that expose the bare midriff are not permitted to be worn during school hours or at school-sponsored activities.
- Clothing with excessive holes, tears, rips, and clothing that is otherwise poorly fitting, showing skin and/or undergarments will not be permitted to be worn. When the student’s arms are at his/her side, holes in clothing that exposes skin should be below the student’s fingertips.
- Shorts and skirts must be of appropriate length. When the student’s arms are at his/her side, the short or skirt length should be below the student’s fingertips.
- Shorts and pants are expected to be worn at the waistline.
- Hats are not to be worn while in the school building during the school day and/or at extra-curricular activities. Hats are to be removed immediately upon entering the school building and should not be put on until exiting through the doors leading outside the building.
- Content/Graphics on clothing must be of a school-appropriate nature. Content/graphics that display images or phrases that are of an illegal, immoral, or inappropriate nature will not be permitted. This includes clothing that advertises, advocates, symbolizes or displays drugs, alcohol, gangs, profanity, sexual suggestive phrase or graphics, occult symbols, or other related criminal behavior. It also includes articles of clothing displaying any sign or insignia which shows disrespect for any race, creed, color, gender, nationality, and drug-related phrases and/or graphics. Examples of prohibited clothing include, but not limited to: gang identifiers (stars, crowns, pitchforks, dollar signs, dice, etc.), and /or identifiers as established by school authorities advertising cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, other similar items, or any other items of an inappropriate or sexual nature.
Lunch Information
Breakfast is served daily in the cafeteria from 8:05am - 8:20am. All Plano students are eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch throughout the 2022 - 23 school year. This meal consists of the main meal being served for the day.
In addition, we do offer a number of a la carte items that are not part of the free meal program, but can be purchased for an additional charge. In order to purchase these a la carte items students must have money on their lunch account. Parents can put money on their student's lunch account by logging into PowerSchool.

Informational Reminders
How and Where do I check my students Grades?
Schoology is used as our active gradebook. To check your student's grades on a daily or weekly basis make sure you have an active Schoology account and have access to see your student's classes, assignments and grades. PowerSchool gradebook is updated for mid term and end of term grade reporting, but it is not the go to to check in on daily progress. If you do not have a Schoology account see the links below to set one up. When setting up your account if you need an access code please email your students Advisory teacher for the code or call the main office.
If your student is absent due to illness or other reasons:
To stay up to date with class work, students should check Schoology pages daily to access assignments, lessons, and activities during their absence. Contact teachers directly via email with any questions related to school work.
