Since the holiday break, there has been an increase in electronic devices being brought to school, particularly Smart Watches. Students have been seen using them in and out of the classroom, and they can be a major distraction to learning. As per our handbook, all devices, including phones and Smart Watches, should be powered off and kept in backpacks during the school day. On behalf of staff members at Governor Winslow School, we appreciate the continued support of our families!

After School Enrichment online registration begins

Tuesday 2/7: 2023-2024 School year Kindergarten registration, 12:00-2:30PM

Thursday 2/9: 2023-2024 School year Kindergarten registration, 9:30AM-12:00PM

February 20-24: February break

Thursday 3/2: First day for After School Enrichment, 3:30PM-4:30PM

Friday 3/10: Trimester 2 ends

Wednesday 3/15: FBMS Incoming Grade 6 Parent Night, 6:30PM (See details below)

Dear Grade 3, 4, and 5 Families,

We are excited to inform you that Governor Winslow's After School Enrichment Program is rapidly approaching! Please click here to view this year's brochure.

Our application will be available online through Google Forms on Friday, February 3, 2023 to all third, fourth, and fifth grade students. Families will receive a link via email, the GWS newsletter and website. Applications, along with a $60 fee are due back no later that Friday, February 10, 2023. Classes will be held each Thursday afternoon from 3:30PM to 4:30PM starting on Thursday, March 2 and ending on Thursday, April 6. Due to the amount of students participating in enrichment, we highly recommend carpooling and ask parents to follow the car line dismissal procedures. We are looking forward to another exciting year of Enrichment!

A la carte items cost extra and cannot be charged to a student's account.

Put your unwanted items to good use by dropping them in our textiles recycling bin, located in our parking lot near the trash dumpsters. Ninety- five percent of all textiles can be recycled. The following can be donated as long as they are clean & dry: clothing, shoes, pocketbooks, table linens, bed linens, draperies, throw rugs, and stuffed animals. Please place your items in plastic bags so they will stay dry. GWS will earn $100 for every ton of textiles placed in our recycling bin.
