NEW BUSINESS
Parking Spot Painting
If you earned a reserved parking spot (21-22 Students of the Month, Field Day Winners), you're officially able to begin the painting process! See the Contract below. Printed copies are available in the HS Office.
Spoiler alert:
- There's a $25 deposit this year. You'll get it back after repainting your spot at a day and time to be determined. Materials for this will be provided by the school.

Halloween
All costumes must follow the dress code (this implies the image your costume projects)
Questions of costume appropriateness need prior approval from an administrator.
No masks that cover the face area.
No gore.
No weapons (fake or real).
No terrorism related costumes.
No vulgar attire.
Face paints and hair colors are allowed.
We will have our October Student of the Month assembly and Costume Contest on October 31 as well.
Climate/Culture Survey
We are currently revising our Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) and seeking feedback through surveys to gauge how students/parents/community members feel about our culture and climate.
Please complete the appropriate survey below before October 28. Responses are anonymous and your feedback is appreciated!
Students will have an opportunity to complete the student survey this Monday.
Handbook Highlight
ILLNESS
A phone call home must be made by school personnel through the appropriate office in order for a student to check out due to medical/illness conditions.
a. If a student contacts a parent/grandparent/guardian on their own without going
through the appropriate office, he/she will be written up for DEFIANCE OF AUTHORITY/INSUBORDINATION.
b. All students should have an emergency contact on file that can pick them up from
school within 30 minutes of being called.
Check out the StuCo Board to see what's going on!
Shout Out
Take a minute to let me know all about it by filling out THIS FORM.
Students, Parents, and Staff can give a shout out to any Slater Schools employee! We'll make sure they receive a copy of it and will look for ways to share them with you throughout the year as well.
Let's get to bragging about all the good people around here!
Old Business
Get Charged
I'm working on the one for HS Chromebooks numbered 21-_ _ and will let you know when it's ready to use.
If your machine needs to be charged during the day, these are the locations. Do NOT unplug anyone's machine, do NOT mess with anyone else's machine, and do NOT move the carts.
Restricted Area
Permitted areas are the cafeteria and Patio (weather permitting).
If you have lunch money to turn in, please do so before school, at the beginning of lunch, or after school.
Keep It Clean
I have no desire to relive the microlockdown of March 2021 (no candy, no sodas, etc. in the building), but I'll go there if students don't manage their trash.
Posted
