The twelfth edition of the Havana Bienal has been announced for May 22-June 22, 2015.

OPENING WEEK IS MAY 21-28, 2015.

The Havana Biennial was established in 1984, long before the biennial boom that began in the mid-1990s. Their first edition was devoted to Latin American artists who live or have their cultural roots there. From the 2nd Biennial in 1986, the focus was expanded to include artists from Africa and Asia, making Havana long in the place of more important "non-Western" art event. The 12th edition will be ever more dynamic and expansive!

The City of Havana will open its doors to art and it will be everywhere! So will the music, the many new private restaurants (called Paladares). Every artist studio in town will be open and waiting for you.

Opening week will be a citywide art party with multiple venues opening each day. You will be there with art lovers from around the world!
